In last week’s column, I noted that diversity was the keyword for the week as a half dozen ccTLDs and a pair of non .com gTLDs earned placed on the all extension Top 20 Sales Chart, alongside a dozen .coms. This week the keywords are “role reversal” as the ccTLDs and non .com gTLDs make a complete switch with the non .com gTLDs taking six places while the country codes had to settle for two. The always dominant .coms again claimed the most positions – 15 this time around (the extra spots resulted from a four-way tie for the final opening).

The .coms also claimed six of the seven biggest reported sales including the top three. Sedo set the pace with #1 Neomobile.com at $58,500 and #2 Yolo.com at $29,000. The AfternicDLS rounded out the power trio with #3 ClubClass.com at $16,000.

The two powerhouse aftermarket platforms went on to sweep all but one of the chart positions. With Sedo piling up 13 entries and the AfternicDLS logging nine, the only charted sale to elude their grasp was the biggest non .com gTLD sale, #8 Smartphones.net at $11,440. Alexander Hammer of domaining.de sold that domain in a private transaction.
